Creams and lotions you can buy will not work. Your stretch marks will gradually become much less noticeable but will never go away as they are similar to scars. However, you can see a dermatologist to discuss treatment. Here are a few options:

1. tretinoin cream (commonly known by the trade name Retin-A)
2. laser therapy

Your health insurance plan will not cover "cosmetic" procedures so you'll probably want to find out what this will cost.

Get rid of Stretch Marks?

I gave birth to my precious "AdjoAdjo Jr" last July 20th, and I began using Strivectin in late August. Well, mine were all over my lower stomach and sides. I applied Strivectin cream twice daily, in the morning and evening, and let me tell you...it worked. I still have over half a tube left! It's that concentrated. You just apply a little dab. It is costly. A big tube is $120. But, if you purchase it at GNC between the 1st-7th of the month, and sign up for a GNC gold card, it will cut the price by 20%. It is now roughly one year later, and my stretch marks have disappeared completely.

The sooner you address them, the better progress you will have at minimizing them. Moisturize w/ Shea butter, massaged in.

Also, L'Oreal makes a kit called Chest, Arms, and Hands, which has a stretch mark correcter lotion. - You might want to try that.
