We're pompus, spoiled, full of ourselves, self absorbed, elitist, whiny, unappreciative, rude, controlling, out of touch and on top of it all we have the gall to ***** about everything on the planet that doesn't go just our way.
Doing good in our own eyes (which is what you describe below your question) does not translate to us being "good" as a nation. Evil? I don't think we mean to be but in the eyes of the world I can certainly see their side of it.

A house built on a rotten foundation cannot stand. All the good that has been paraded through doesn't change the fact that we invaded another country illegally. There are other countries headed by tyrants yet we have not invaded them- no huge oil supply. Look at the big picture.Civilians murdered by our troops, mistreatment of prisoners in Cuba while in custody,no bid contracts awarded to Cheney's former employers, the national debt is the highest that it has ever been, illegal domestic wiretaps and detainments, civil rights violations. It all began with one stolen election and then bombings that should have been stopped before they happened.Their never was a great terrorist threat. THINK!!!! How much of a fight have they put up??? The boy scouts could do better. The entire country gets the blame for what is perpetrated by a selfish and greedy few. Please watch all the information not just the spoon fed super patriot portions. Choose to make an informed choice.Peace.

Well, I don't see the great USA as evil, but I know why people hate it. See, it is because of the companies that are allowed to go abroad and use cheap labor, they take advantage of the workers and pay VERY little to them, and they can't really survive on such wages. Also, the US has some kind of right to punish other countries, for example, if in El Salvador the governmet does someting against human rights, the US comes and charges them money as a penalty, I agree that these things should happen, but should the US really have the right to punish other countries, let me remind you that human rights are VERY broad, and some things, just like law, might be right to set and some things not. Also, the US forces other countries to be allies with them for the benefit of those investors and corporation owners in the US, for example, in Honduras there is a place that grows peaches, then Honduras HAS TO send the peaches to the USA to be canned, then they give them back to honduras and charge a lot of money because of the processing and such taht they have undergone. If that peach producer doesn't do that, then the giovernment of honduras will make them do it, and not mattering that there are canning companies in honduras willing to do the job for a lot less money without involving the US. If they do decide to use that local canning company, then the US will reduce their help, for example, medical supplies and such, until the thing is solved (meaning that they will have to ship their product to the US and then it has to be manufactured and sold back to the producer for an incredible amount of profit for the manufacturer), I live in the US and I love this country, but it does't change some of the things they do.

Definitely u ppl r not 'the evil one.' When ppl like osama exist, how can u become the evil one.U c ppl r commenting on Bush's US & not the real US.U ppl have really helped other nations during disasters & natural calamities.PPL r stereotyping the nation on the basis of 1 man, just like how they've stereotyped the entire Islam community on the basis of those loathsome terrorists.I'm giving a fair view since i'm an Indian & not an American(which can bias me 2wards America).I think Americans r gr8 BUt as is said '1 dirty fish makes the water stink'

Where do we begin? We stick our noses in business that is not our concern example Vietnam and Korea. We go against UN charter rules in continuing the secret prison around the world. The current administration blatantly overlooked the 9/11 issue, as well as the Katrina fiasco.

To Bush-hating liberal democrats....we are evil. Of course, when 'Slick Willy" was the president, we were the opposite. GW cannot do anything right. He caused Katrina. It is so obvious that Democrats cannot give any credit to Republicans. That's a "no-no". Michael Savage is right in saying," liberalism is a mental disorder".
