oh no! its important to take some time to relax, even if there is a lot of hard stuff going on. you should take a bath, listen to favorite (relaxing!) music, write down your thoughts, do some DEEP breathing...or do something to take your mind off things, like watch some funny show on tv. something good for yourself, ultimately only you know.

You can do a couple things to calm down.
Take a warm bath and light candles. This will relax your back and neck muscles and the candle-light will calm you down.
If you don't want to take a bath and want to stay dry, then listen to music. Make sure it's like peaceful calming instrumental music not hard rock or anything. Close your eyes in bed and shut all the lights off while listening to music.

Take a warm bath, drink some warm milk and then lie down and think about your body relaxing. Start at your toes and think about every single toe relaxing, then go up your legs, etc, all the way to your eyes.

You might also try some very soothing music or call a good friend and talk about how you are feeling. Sometimes just hearing yourself "let it out" can help.

Good luck!

Take a hot bath and lay down for a while and listen to music before you try to go to sleep. Make sure you aren't too warm because it can keep you awake.

Don't try to sleep right now. Why don't you walk around the house for a little bit to see if maybe you'll be able to calm down.

You've got adrenaline running through your body. Go take a vigorous walk. Then come home and take a warm shower. Then read a while until you get sleepy.

I'm sure that it's tough worrying about your mother. I'm sorry to hear about your trying experience. The advice I have to offer comes from this classic hymn. It's helped me and many others go through difficult experiences.

What a Friend we have in Jesus

1.What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer.

2.Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer.

3.Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield thee;
thou wilt find a solace there.

Take a hot bath. Then what I do is I read a good book until I just can't keep my eyes open any longer.
