I've bathed my son every day since he was just a few months old. He absolutely loves it, I thinks its totally cute and take advantage of the moment to bond and play with him, seeems like it puts him in a good mood just before going down to sleep for the night.

I would have to give you kudos for finding the time to bathe her every night! I have a 5 1/2 month old and we are lucky to get 3 baths in a week! My daughter just graduated from her infant tub and moved to a bath seat in the bathtub last week. She now loves the bath so we will probably be able to do it more often now. If she doesn't seem to have sensitive skin and she enjoys it, I wouldn't think you are bathing her too much! My daughter enjoys going in our hot tub with us (we turned down the temperature to around 90 degrees) and I just put lotion on her afterwards to help her from drying out from the chlorine. That's one of the reasons why she doesn't get baths as often because she goes "swimming" quite often instead!

Ive been bathing my daughter every day since the day she was born so I dont see a problem..
Now that she is 2-years old she sometimes has a bath or a shower 2-3 times if she gets dirty, paint, chalk, playdoh, food or whatever else on her or in her hair...
Bath your daughter as often as you feel you need to...just keep her warm in the bath and get her warm as soon as possible after shes finished in the cooler months...

I bathed my son every night, and I used an incredible amount of soap. He was my first. With my second I'm a lot more relaxed. I bathe her every other day, or maybe even the 3rd day. It depends on how pukey she's been etc. Babies don't do anything to get dirty, so bathing them offen will probably dry their skin. But if her skin isn't dry and she likes it, then why not. God Bless

Both of my kids (ages 4 and 5) have always loved water and we've "bathed" them everyday from birth. Don't use soap with every bath, and when using soap definately use a baby soap. Babies have really sensitive skin and you don't want to dry it out. A good baby lotion after the bath can help with that too. Try to aviod anything with heavy fragrances...they usually contain alchohol and would damage the baby's sensitive skin.

Your her mom. If she's sticky and dirty rinse her off. My son is 6 month and takes a bath every night, and he's fine. Some days i put him in the little pool with his sister and still bathe him. I only use soap though every other day. the in between days i just use a wash cloth and water... No one can tell you what is "right or wrong" because your the only one who knows how dirty your baby got during the day

My son LOVES bathtime. We have a garden tub, so there's room for him to get in with me or my husband and stretch out. The tub is deep enough so that if we hold his head, the rest of his body floats and he has a blast. His skin, especially his scalp, gets really dry if we give him a bath too often, so it's once every few days at this point. I know a lot of moms that only bathe their infants once a week to keep from drying out their skin. Whatever works for your family is best! :)

When my son was in the hospital the nurses told me that until he was crawling or going outside to play and getting dirty that a bath 2-3 times per week is plenty because it can dry out their skin. Also during the winter babies can get chilled easily so put a towel in the dryer for about 10 minutes before bathtime.

if it is very cold at the time of bathing then they may shiver so better avoid giving bath. otherwise you can give bath anytime you wish. but not more than twice a day in summer. if the baby is suffering with any fever then i think you should avoid giving bath for sometime until the baby's health is normal

I give my son a short bath every night as part of his routine, it gives him a chance to play & afterwards he's more relaxed. On the days that he doesn't go anywhere or sweat a lot I just use plain water with no soap & use Cetaphil if he is a little dirty (he has eczema so Cetaphil is gentle enough).
