I mean, I can say something about scripture, and there will be a 4-letter word in an answer. What makes them do this, and claim that they are the gods of tolerance?

Not all liberals, but some to many. Thank-you.

I don't know every time I ask this question most of the answers I get are either other Conservatives cheering me on or Liberals calling me Hitler.

You just pointed to the reason why people are cynical about politics. If you say something about scripture, liberals put you down for it. It isn't because they are gods of intolerance, It is because they were sworn (or they think that they are sworn) to the political correctness of being a liberal. That is why so many people have walked away from the liberal perspective and have even, in a lot of cases, ditched the Democrats.

Neither perspective is really very fair. But, in making an abstract ideology concrete, liberals continue to badger conservatives. This isn't fair to conservatives or liberals, either, because conservatives use scripture a lot to take a moral high road on a lot of things that the scripture wasn't meant to do.

Christ, I think, was neither a liberal or a conservative. Or else he was sometimes both. When He said, "If a man strike you on the cheek, I say turn the other cheek." That is a very conservative statement. But when He said, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's", he was saying something very liberal.

So, it probably doesn't make a difference if liberals are tolerant or not. I think that liberals aren't taking the moral high road and that they are too freaky about religion. At least some of them are.

But, by the same token, the liberal bashing and the conservative bashing is really tiring. I think everyone in here needs to cool their jets and not take the political stuff so personally or so literally when it comes to both politics and religion.

I'm a PROUD liberal and I am not angry and Im defiantly not intolerant, The only reason liberals are painted in a bad light is because conservatives have turned the word liberal into a four letter word, Its not!!! I believe in equality for all no matter your race, religion, sexual preference, I believe that everybody, Including conservatives have a right to their opinion, and that everybody has a right to live their life as they see fit so long as it doesn't harm another person. That in essence is what a liberal is!

Your question contains part of your problem; it contains a definitive accusation. It is difficult enough to sift through the endless chaff on the Internet, and when a genuine person like you comes along, you are naturally surprised by the unintelligent bickering of people who are simply too lazy or unable to create a genuine argument (about 98% of posts).
However, part of the problem comes from the difficulty in expressing sincerity in written word.
Your question's presupposition is that they are in fact angry and intolerant, and that they now have to defend an indefensible (or at least very difficult) position. It's like saying, "Your ugly, now defend yourself." Most people will choose instead to give you the verbal or written "finger." However, if you were to instead say, "Why do Liberals answer my questions in an angry and intolerant manner?" In this case you are now specifically referring to the manner in which they answer your questions, rather than the literal supposition that they are angry and intolerant in perpetuity.

I say screw the Liberal vs. Conservative. The Greens and the Libertarians have more in common than the Demicans and Republicrats.
I would be genuinely happier with either of the former than my choice of either of the latter.

I'm not angry at your questions and certainly not intolerant. But please don't try to make it seem as if your questions are so innocent. Most of your questions just make me sad. You've asked questions about liberalism being a mental disorder. Again, I am saddened. Sad that a "Christian" would answer to whether or not liberals were dropped on the head at birth with a statement like:

"Yes, it seems that way. Many of them seem to have fractured skulls in which their brain leaked out."

Or another one of your answers:

"Liberals are one of the most self-centered creatures on the earth. They don't care about anyone except themselves. They want pleasure for the moment, and won't accept any responsibility for their action, so, in this circumstance, they murder. I find it hard for a person to be a Christian yet do the things liberal do."

As a liberal myself, none of these statements apply to me or to any of my friends or many other liberals I know. Most of the giving and selfless people I know are liberals. They do volunteer work, they support non-profit groups. They are teachers. They are Christians. We answer intelligently about what we believe and some scream, "Baby killer! Homo lovers! Christian bashers!" Because you have already decided that you are already going to hate what we have to say instead of actually listening.

You just answered your own question.
Because liberals are angry and intolerant.
I suppose you might follow up why they are so and I can only point to the most obvious of facts.
- You are apparently a very religious man and you have a Cross in your avatar. Liberals can't stand religious people...esp. Christians.
- Liberals have been out of power and lost three elections in the last 6 years. They are powerless and thus lash out against you.
- Anytime liberals have unsightly truths presented to them they react to their basic animalistic instincts. This means acting defensive and offensively. Liberals will even bite you sometimes so be careful.
- They know they are wrong.

I don't understand. Are you talking about liberals or religious people (not that the two groups don't intersect)?

Liberals don't have a corner on the intolerance market. I see question after question here in Answers where a conservative asks something like, "Why to libtards hate America?" or "Why to liberals not support the troops?"

These days, if you can't convince 'em, insult 'em.

I am a Christian. Why are you so intolerant? I vote my conscience. In North Carolina, a minister told his faithful that if they voted for Kerry they would not be welcome in his church. This is the kind of nonsense you get from the far right. They are doing the devil's work. We are one nation, one people, but according to the far right, there is only one nation. Those who wrap themselves up in the Bible and the American flag. I served proudly as a Marine in Vietnam, and I find people like you repugnant. You are not Christians.

If your a Christan and you find liberals distasteful, please get over it. People will insult you for your faith. Whining about it doesn't help your cause.

Most are not believers and for this you must pray for them and see them the way Christ would, with compassion....There are many conservative Christians who come across as intolerant and angry....
