Is iPOD nano good enough? Is U2 iPOD really cool? Is the oldest type still hot? Is 60G too much for me? And what about the accessories?
The most important is what the price is.

If price is the most important thing, then you might consider something other than an iPod.

Do you like lots and lots and lots of music? If so, using a subscription music service and a player can save you so much more than any other purchase decision.

I have a Creative Zen Vision M (30GB) and I estimate it'll hold about 5,000 subscription tracks. Right now I have about 1200 on it. If I were to purchase those songs, it would cost me $1200 on iTunes or $5000 to fill the player using iTunes. But I'm renting those songs from Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go for a flat monthly fee of $10 a month pre-paid for a year. Sure I've ripped some CDs and I've bought a couple songs, but most of what I have today is subscription.

Apple iPods won't let you rent subscription music, only buy it.

Okay, here's what is also cool about the Creative Zen Vision: M. It displays album art. It plays videos. While others on Yahoo Answers complain that the iPod 30GB battery runs out of juice playing just a couple videos, I just flew cross country and watched 2 1/2 hours of video on a single charge. Plus I had plenty of charge left over to listen to hours of music too (iPod 30GB is rated at only 2 hours of video).

Other Creative players are usually less than an iPod with more features. CNet just rated the new Creative Zen V and Zen V Plus as a better buy than the iPod Nano.

thats a diff one, i researched them alllll for like 5 days, and that was the least expensive on that particular one im getting

why not iipod? MOVIES FROM I TUNES MAY NOT WORK, EVEN WHEN CONVERTED!!! i have lots, so ipod out of question.

but if you are a mac user, get a 30 g black ipod. accessories are llloooots for any of them.

if you are smart and tech savvy, or even want it, go to ipodlinux.org and you can get lots of hacks.

i would recommend the video ipod... the 30gig one. its still a lot of space but i have 25 gigs left. lol dont forget that u can use it as a memory stick! u can transfer files from one computer to the other one. the battery life could be better but its good enough.

Wait for the next gen IPOD out next week.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5457434/site/newsweek/

"a 50 percent boost in battery life."

That's huge right there.

"It looks a bit different, operates more efficiently, has a few more features and costs less."

You'll be bummed to buy an obsolete model just A WEEK before generation 4's roll-out next week.

WAIT!!!
