Because in America, the rich control everything, including the government. The average CEO in the USA makes 11 million dollars a year. If they made 100-200K a year, which is still very high, they could take the extra money and give their hard working employees free health care. If our presidents showed any sign at all of having testicles, they would create a national health care system...but, they don't.. so they won't. America is a great country ...it is a country of freedom and expression. But, it is full of criminals that have more rights than good people and many of those criminals are called politicians and business owners. America will never have a good health care system, because its government is selfish, greedy, lazy and doesn't care about its people. The only way to get free health care in America, is to be an illegal Mexican.

There are a number of theories:
1. There's something wrong with the American system
2. Due to a diabolical system of collective sacrifices or wrong-thinking, or misguided agendas, the current system is seen as serving the best interest of all interested parties.
3. Due to economic imbalance the people in power have the ability to push the professionals into serving their welfare at the detriment of those who are disadvantaged.
4. Americans aren't as fair minded.
5. America has reason to resist influence from Britain, which has some more socialist-leaning political parties that would approve of universal healthcare.

Medical Care in USA is a "business"....the hospitals, insurance companies, etc...if you can prove you are poor enough ....your care providers will be chosen for you, be careful not to see someone not preapproved, etc...etc...but if you are found to not be poor enough you will recieve a bill from the hospital, and each physician that examines you...and will total about $10,000 for a two day stay. Maybe if the US spent took about 20% of what it spends for all the B.S. programs, and put it towards the Health Care System..."free" healthcare would be possible.

because the usa probably has the worse social services amongst the big countries/ but in the usa we have the freedom to ask and answer this type of question and that's a pretty good thing. we just have to put preassure on our representatives, hold them accountable and maybe we'll get the better social sevices we need. have you bought a hamburger in sydney? it was 18USD 4 years ago. mc donalds still has the Dollar Menu.
