Have been a hairdresser for 31 years, off and on.
I'm tired of standing there all day touching other peoples heads.
I am so done with it.

Have always thought I would rather look like Endora, than Uncle Fester, when I got older. I'm getting older now. It's time to look into this seriously.

Drag would be fun and interesting, to say the least.
I would only do it professionally.
I am happy being a man.

I would like my female character to have a very classy persona. Not tacky drag.

Who knows, I could become famous like Dame Edna or Shirley Q Liquor!

I'm a lot like you, I think. A beginner, very classy, and doing it as a hobby, not regarding my own gender (and no, I'm not bagging on transpeople or anything).

I've heard there's a good makeup tutorials lj community, but haven't gotten around to checking it out. The easiest way is to find yourself a drag mama (make some friends in the business; find someone who doesn't look like a mess and ask them for tips), and then play and experiment with the beginnings they give you. Once you've got a name and a face, dress up and go to the local drag club. Hang out, have some drinks, and ask if you can speak to the show director. Ask about doing a cameo some time. You get to check the place out (there are some dives that my mama wouldn't go back to) and they get to check you out.
