I hear people gripe and complain on nearly a daily basis about how the government is doing us wrong. They ARE correct, but when I ask them what they have done about it, they shrug their shoulders. Call, write, and email every politician that you know, and speak your mind!

Yeah I wonder why some people don't do what I am doing which is sending letters to Political Officials.

Im like hey if ya gotta a problem don't complain to me complain to your official.

Ok I like Bush even though I don't agree with everything he has done but if anyone of you out there hates him don't tell me, tell him.

President George W. Bush

I dare anyone who hates our President to write to the President or call The White House or E-mail him as well.

However if you are gonna tell him how much you hate him please don't threaten to kill him, that is wrong and it will get you in trouble with the Secret Service.

The reason why we just talk and gripe about what our political leaders are doing is because none of us want to get caught is a situation to overthrow our government. Yes, we all write letters to express our opinion, however, none of us are sure if our (local, state and national) political leaders are really taking the people serious. We are a nation of greed and the bottom lines is "I'm getting mine so I don't care about yours". The one thing that would make our political leaders wake up would be a complete crash of the Stock Market because they would then realize that they are on equal footage with us "little" people. We, the "little" people would survive because we don't really have a lot to loose because some of us didn't have much to begin with and we know how to live from one day to the next. If the Market did crash, our political leaders would loose a lot. Without the Stock Market, they can't survive. When we write letters, maybe 3 out of 10 letters are actually read and when, if, they respond in writing to all of our letters, it's a generic letter, just like the generic speech they use when they want us to vote for them. We have the right to vote and we have a right to choose who we vote for, but, once the person is in office, we have no sure fire way of knowing they are going to be able to do what they said they would. We have always relied on others to do our bidding and fighting for us and that's the American Way.

It is such an apathetic nation we live in, isn't it? Even after 9\11, I couldn't see a car window, or a home without an American flag proudly displayed, but did any of your neighbors even concern about what was going on in Afghanistan. Most likely they made fun of Geraldo searching for Osama, like he looked for Capone's vault.

I had brought up a march on Washington to end this war in Iraq on this website. Only a few answered, and all would not go whether they felt it was right or not. One answerer went so far to say marches are only unwashed hippies from the 60's that are just trying to get their face on TV. I actually do talk to my elected officials. I am proud to say I care about my, and my family's rights.

To hell with the apathetic! Squeaky wheels get the grease!

Complacency and self-delusion are big, big shackles.

But I hear ya. Fight the good fight.
