For those that don't know what jump the shark means, look it up

I think the Simpsons is still on the short list of shows that have never jumped the shark. I think it's because each show stands alone. There are no gimmicks like sexual tension fueling the show. Also, they have a huge stable of writers and are getting new ones all the time. If you don't like this week's show, try again next week.

Seinfeld never jumped the shark either. He was smart enough to quit while on top.

Simpsons jumped so long ago that the bulk of the series is now junk.

Non-jumpers include Barney Miller, Grounded for Life and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Bakersfield PD never had the chance. I hate Fox.

hmmmm..... a tricky one. But after much consideration, I like to think "Friends" did ok. The show stopped pretty close to peak, no one started singing (except the odd smelly cat here and there" and no main characters were replaced with a different actor. But to be completely honest, there aren't too many shows that dont. But I continue to watch them anyway. Long live Buffy!

In my opinion the original Twilight Zone series. The writing was just too good. Also the tv show Monk, because it is still new!

"Wonder Showzen" because it's stayed pretty consistent in its goal to shock people in newer, edgier and funnier ways.

"South Park" because it just keeps getting better -- even without Chef.

"Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" because it got canceled before it had the chance to jump.

"Frank's Place" for the same reason.
