I am a hispanic female(Puerto Rican/Caucasian)and one of my neighbors the other day was making loud comments about how N*****s are moving into the neighborhood. When I walked out of my yard to take out my garbage, he saw me and commented "There's one..." It hurt and angered me so much!!! He doesn't even know me, and he hates me just because of the color of my skin. I cannot get it out of my mind!!!!!!

Your neighbor and other people like him are just ignorant and intolerant of others who are different and it makes absolutely no sense. They don't care about getting to know the person, they only care about race which isn't right. Don't let him hurt you with his ignorance.

Yes I know it hurts to be treated badly just because of your race. It's very annoying when people direct their racism towards you, even if you have never done anything to them.
People are prejudice usually when something bad happens to them. Usually they have a bad experience and then they get "triggered" and take it out on you (someone they do not know). Maybe someone did something to him but your neighbor had no right to insult you like that. I know that my father went to a furniture store (he is chinese) and asked how much a couch was. The salesperson said "why, you can't afford it anyways". There is always going to be sub-humans that will say something rude.

Your question requires a one word answer, IGNORANCE.
Try not to be too hurt, or angered, by such people and there comments. People who say and think such things are not only imbeciles, but they are sick. In a way, you have to feel sorry for such people. Could you imagine, what it must be like to harbor such hatred, for people that they have never even met. I think, or at least I hope, such people and there attitudes are antiquated, and on there way out. Education, is the prescription, for the disease of prejudice.

Most prejudiced people have never really lived a life worth thinking about , they are very shallow and ignorant. They have no idea why they judge people of different races , religions and color, they just do. They are mindless cretins. There is no getting rid of them either, they are everywhere!!!!!They are possessed.

Unfortunately, we humans tend to stereotype people based on the actions of poor representatives. Your neighbor has no real problem with you, per say, he has a problem with the poor representatives of your race. The only problem is, we all have poor representatives of our race. So, its best to take people on a person by person basis. But, most people dont see it this way.

People are prejudiced (afraid) against anyone who is different from themselves. Races tend to stick together and dislike other races, that's just the way it is. I'm white and have had plenty of people talk s*** to me because of it. We all share the same problem.

Grace erases race. When people learn to have grace and love in their hearts prejudice will disappear.

Because they think they're better just because of their skin color. I think they're ignorants and so unhappy with their lives. Don't pay attention and don't let it get to you.

Prejudice is fear, unfortunately.......It exists.......The hardest thing is when we are hurt by it.......Next time someone says a derogatory comment, say to them, "Hey, aren't we all the HUMAN race?" usually shuts them up........
