all he is trying to do is help humanity as one ,if i had the capitol to travel as he does i would do the same ,but it is a great thing that he is doing

I think that's human nature, redneckwoodman (sorry -- that's your screename, I'm not calling you that!!!). People have a tendency to knock down anything they can't or wouldn't do. Also many people look for the bad in something instead of the good.
I agree -- it's awesome what Bono is doing. Every person with the means should do something meaningful with their money and time. Look at Buffet and Gates, too!
With the private sector working in partnership with governments, so much can be accomplished toward these ills.

Entertainers make lots of cash giving us great songs, or movies, or home runs and all, but that doesn't mean they know any more than the rest of us. Their good life allows them time to think about important stuff. They will have better results doing some of the world-saving work than just sittin' and tellin' us "what for."
Bono means well and has done some good things. Some folks don't see him, or the next famous person, as deserving what they have. Some new stars feel strange about having money all of a sudden, and others feel bad about growing up rich.
To make those last folks feel better, we have the I.R.S.

I was thinking the same thing! Bono is such a sweet, caring person and all people do is just throw all their might at him. And I can't believe all those bad things. He was just asking a simple yet very important question. He's donated so much of his time and money to help the world.

because he is preaching to everyone to give and other governments to give while he lives his lavish lifestyle.
i owe 153k dollars in hospital bills due to cancer, do i get any assistance from my government? no i don't, but in the mean time, my government will donate millions to others.
take care of home first, then worry about the nieghbors.
