I have had the unfortunate experience of this very occurrence. I was told once by a doctor that I was allergic to "A" spider, of which particular species he was unsure, because of a reaction I had when I was a child to a spider bite. Because of this I have since been afraid of being bitten again. So of course one night I was asleep and I thought I felt something on my face. Freaking out like the girl I am slapping at myself and screaming frantically I must have slapped whatever it was into my mouth. Seeing as I was screaming at the same time, on the inhale I swallowed it. Turns out it was the same kind of spider that I was bitten by before, only this time instead of my leg swelling it was half of my face. And the worst part.... I still don't know what KIND of spider it was.

Well, one time,I was writing a letter and felt a tickle on my ear.It was a spider getting ready to dive in.Or tell me a secret.Didn't wait to find out which. They used to have a habit of dropping down on me when I was reading. They would run across my book and freak me out.Every now and then I'll feel something crawling on my arm or hand and it will be a little one. They also would drown in my coffee pot if I left anything in it after I turned it off.Chances are,I've eaten one or two in my sleep.Maybe that's why I wake up with a sore throat. The weird thing is that I never see them coming.Spiders and moths seem attracted to me.I don't even want to think about what that means.

Yes. Unfortunately, I was awake. Driving windows down and one must have been floating around. EWWWWW!!!!
FYI: I've heard that it's more then one in a lifetime. Try like between 4-8. There is a spider for every 4 square feet on Earth. No matter how clean your house is, they're there.

Isn't the saying that you eat about 8 spiders in your sleep through your entire lifetime? So that averages about 1 every ten years or so - so my guess is that I've probably eaten one or two in my sleep by now.

No. I go on spider killing sprees and smush all the ones I can find. I don't think there have been any in my room to be eaten.
