the gas prices r getting out of hand. how much is it where u are? what do u think about the prices?

Today, it is from about $2.82 up to about $2.95.

The problem with gas prices is really pretty simple; the oil companies profits are a percentage of the total price, they make more money when the price is higher.
Since they BID for the oil, the more they pay, the more they make. & the more they buy, the more the price goes up.
In May, we (the U.S.) had 16% more oil than a year ago,
but the oil companies were charging 36% more than a year ago.
Oh, BTW, I forgot to mention that the government is in charge, because the more the price goes up, the more taxes the government gets (taxes are a percentage, too)

Gas prices are way out of control, just like everything else in the world right now it seems.
$1.05/litre
3.7 litres in a Gallon.

$3.04 in Washington. I think that people should stop freaking out about it, because it is 4 times the price in Japan, and even more in Europe. We have a good deal.

No, they aren't all that high actually. They are keeping up with the value of the US Dollar. It's $2.89 here. By the way, it would be $3.11 if it were 1984, when you compare the value of the dollar.

paid $3.29 yesterday. That is in central california where it is the most. My truck gets 8 miles to the gallon too.
