Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?

By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:

* 101 Internet Businesses You Can Start from Home by Susan Sweeney
* The Best Home Businesses for the 21st Century by Paul Edwards
* Selling Online: How to Become a Successful E-Commerce Merchant by Jim Carroll
* I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It by Barbara Sher
* I Don't Know What I Want, But I Know It's Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work by Julie Jansen
* The Best Internet Businesses You Can Start by Marian Betancourt
* The Shoestring Entrepreneur's Guide to Internet Start-Ups by Robert Spiegel
* Making a Living Without a Job : Winning Ways For Creating Work That You Love by Barbara Winter

I also posted some article links in the source box.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Housecleaning, Private Companion, things like that. Almost everything else requires skills and costs money. Sorry. Now that so many people have computers, even typing manuscripts is a hard business to get started.

Prostitution for sure....just think about it ...you can lay down on the job, there is no over..head, if the customer is not satisfied you can tell them to go "F*** your Self", and the most important part is that you will be doing a patriotic duty to your country..and you said you're nice and like helping otheres....there is nothing like helping a guy with blue balls by way of hand job. for those who are interested in blue balls i've left a link to a very informative website...thats right ..wikipedia..you should believe every thing you read on wikipedia...and the internet for that matter

Ebay, you can't get into too much trouble by giving things away however...but it is profitable and you can start with things from your own home and then open it up to friends and family and they can pay you a 30% commission for selling their stuff.....
You could check with your local chamber of commerce and see if they need a visitor adviser to help tourists...That would be really nice to help your community and your fellow travelers.
Good luck!

Real estate is a good choice. You do need to have money set aside to sustain your lifestyle until you start producing, and you do need money to market yourself. Beyond that, you need persistence. You have to pay for pre-licensing class, the exam fee and the license. You have to find a good broker who will support your marketing effort. You pay for errors and omissions insurance. But you don't pay for any inventory, and that's a good thing.
