White people make up 75% of all arrests in the US so there impact is greater.

Not really, but they certainly have made a great impact, especially in music. (I just wish ragtime music would make a comeback!)
I don't see as much coverage of African American influence in visual arts and literature as much as there is coverage of such influence in music (people are always surprised that Bluegrass music was much influenced by blacks). I believe one's social position can influence one's accomplishments and provide inspiration to achieve, much more than one's race (although clearly race has often predicated social standing). I think we've had a very rich history of cultural development in this country and I think all peoples have contributed strongly to it.

some of these responses are funny to me because people have such a low opinion on blacks..I think all nationalities commit crimes so people can quit with thinking only African Americans have a impact on American Culture in a negative way! but I wouldn't say that African Americans have a greater impact on American Culture but they do contribute to it but not in just a negative way like people think!!

Maybe they do, but definately not in a good way. Their cliques just promote violence by numbers, but weakness individually, and a terrible use of the english language. This is strictly speaking about teens. I would have to say that they are the most accepting race of people immitating them. On the other hand, my arab friends would probably "start beef" with you if you were to try and immitate their culture.
BTW, anyone can have influence on a society with no culture. The only thing that comes close to culture in america is the one you get after yogurt goes bad in your fridge.
