Yeah it's when someone wears too-tight pants and their belly hangs over the waist. Not a pretty sight. Here's an example:

It means when a girl is wearing pants that are too low and too tight on her that her stomach sort of poofs out like a muffin top over the top of her pants. It is not a flattering saying

Its when girls wear there pants a size or two too small [because they refuse to go UP a size! lol] and so when the pants are skin tight, the flabby belly hangs over the top, hence creating a muffin look. Very unflattering....lol

Muffin tops are when girls wear low cut pants and their fat squeezes out the top of them. It sort of pops over the waistline like muffin tops. I hate that too.

Depends on how it is used. Muffin top usually means the unwanted part of the muffin because it is hard and not as tasty. I rather like the muffin tops!

It is when your jeans hang too low and your stomach/fat hangs over the top - it is actually not fashion as it is unbecoming, unfashionable and use of poor judgement. It is simply a term to describe what happens when people wear pants that are TOO SMALL!

in this day and age of ultra low rise jeans, muffin top refers to the bulge of fat that hangs over the waistband of jeans when the person wears a size that is too small.

According to my teenagers, "Muffun Top" refers to the exra belly that hangs out over the waist of your jeans (especially noticeable if you're wearing a cropped top...)
