You should try pilates or yoga..also try taking like a salsa class. All of those are fun and relaxing and you gain long lean muscle.

It depends how you define "better". IMO, the very best dancers have a way of showing you their soul when they dance - they make a connection with their audience, so you simply don't notice any technical flaws or physical shortcomings. Even if you mean better in a technical sense, it still depends what you mean. Dancers with a stocky build (called 'arque' in ballet jargon) are fantastic at jumping and vigorous, exciting styles of dance. They are often short and compact so speed is easier for them. Tall, slim dancers ('jarrete') have longer limbs to control, so they are usually less nimble, but they have more flexibility so can kick higher and look beautifully elegant whatever they do. One body type is not better than the other, they are just suited to different styles. As part of the audition process for the big ballet schools like the Bolshoi and the Royal Ballet School, all applicants have to go through a medical exam to assess whether their body structure is suitable. But that doesn't mean that the children who are rejected, are no good as dancers. It just means they don't meet the narrow criteria to be a ballet dancer. They may be good dancers in some other style.

Eat real lean foods like turkey, tuna fish, lean red meat, chicken, egg whites, fruits and vegetables ,breads and grains, some pasta, skim milk or 2%,limit your manyonaise and butter and oils.Try to barbecue or bake your foods(no deep fry).Work out with light weight and alot of reps, 2 protein shakes(creatin) a day and you will see a big difference.

I would suggest working out at least 3 times a week and eating lots of protein! And when you find that you stop gaing muscle and you kinda' plateau change up your work out a bit.

The size of your frame is determined by genetics. Exercise won't change that.
