It's when God will take his believers and the dead in Christ up to Heaven to be with him.

The second coming of Christ. Revelations in the bible explains all about it, but if you are that confused about it , you need to have a minister explain it.The second coming is when Christ will return once again as he did when Noah build the Arch but this time is the last. If you have not ask for him to come into your life and be apart of it ,you will not be able to be apart of the rapture. A good movie that will help you understand it a little better is " Left Behind'' Starring Kirk Cameron. Its not exact but it tells the story as close to what will happen when Christ returns. It tells of the Anti- Christ which is Satan and how he will manipulate many into the destruction of the world . One day Gods people will suddenly disappear because God will take us with him and the rest that chose not to be saved by the blood of the lamb [God]will be left behind and will endure trials and tribulation. Revelations speaks of how many will want to die but won't even be able to kill themselves. It also speaks of the three Profits that will return to earth and be killed in front of many but will rise again. These three profits were already taken by God, there's are no knowledge that they died. Just that they vanished and were never seen again, like Enoch and Elijah. The book of Revelations is very scary but only because we're living in the book of Revelation now.It also speaks how the Anti Christ will be seen all over the world when he begins to manipulate the world. His going to also died and rise again. This is his way of fooling people like you that don't understand what is happening. You need understanding of the bible in order to be wise enough to make your decision on where you will be on the day of the rapture. If nothing else you can look for John Hagee on T.V. He talks about the raputre on his show and explains it well. Look on any christain channel for him.Or look for his books in book stores.

Rapture is a word used to describe the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for his eternal family. The word is found in Psalm 45 verse 15 "With joy and rapture will they come into the Kings house". It signifies great delight and satisfaction I believe so ensure you are a participant. You need only repent, believe and recieve his offered gift of eternal blessings to be included in the Rapture.

The rapture is a doctrine of men pure and simple. The teaching is that we (those who are christians) will be carrying on one day and God (Jesus) will zap us up and take off the earth before the big bad mean devil gets us. It is contrary to the rest of what the bible says but because of fear in mens hearts and a lack of trust in God most people believe it without even questioning it.
The God I serve (Jesus) is more than able to keep me through any situation and protect me and use me in the worst of circumstances and He doesnt need to rescue me from the big mean old devil. He defeated Satan and made a show of him openly 2000 years ago at calvary.

There is a time, foretold in the Bible, when Jesus will return (well, almost return - He won't actually set foot on the earth at this time), and send out his angels to gather His people (those who are faithfully following Him) from the four corners of the world, and they will all suddenly be caught up to be with Him (He will then take them back to Heaven with Him, and they will be with Him forever, and rule with Him during the Millenial Kingdom (which will be on the earth), and then in the Eternal state (either in Heaven or on the (new, recreated) Earth.

To those who aren't faithful and following Him when He returns (this isn't His Return (Second Coming), that comes late). . this will just seem like these millions of people just disappeared (leaving piles of clothes, I suppose).

There is solid support in Scripture (in Thessalonians and elsewhere) for this view.

This mass disappearance will no doubt be attributed to "they were abducted by UFO's!". . and those left behind will be here to be deceived by the AntiChrist, who will arise about that time and force his ways on the unsuspecting people still here. Those who follow him and do his bidding will necessarily be tormented in Hell forever, according to what the Bible foretells.
