uh, a polar bear, sabre tooth tigers are extinct

First they would never meet. And A polar bear is the biggest bear, and it could easily crush a tiger, and even if the tiger had a chance to get to the bears throat, the Bear's neck would be too thick to kill without already having an injury. But like i said, they will never meet, so I guess it will really always be unknown

Smilidon or the sabre-toothed cat is extinct.....and they more closely resembled lions not tigers. Also they would probably never meet even if they did still exist because polar bears live in a completely different habitat than Smilidon would live in today.

Polar Bear, because his teeth although smaller length are just as sharp plus hes got 2 paws with razor sharp claws that would cut the cat to ribbons (i.e. he uses his claws as a weapon whereas the cat would just use its claws to hang on or hold down its prey). Plus the bear is bigger and could take more of a beating and outlast the cat.

Considering both of them are totems of mine...I would still have to go for the polar bear. Just don't ask me to referee the match. I can't take sides.
