Think about it. Death is not horrible, it just a natural part of life, and sooner or later, we all must go. Yet, whenever we hear about people dying, we say how horrible it is. I think we can all agree that there are far more horrible things than death. I mean, I would rather die than worrying about food or if someone is going to try to hurt my family. There are so many problems happening in other countries, but it is only "tragic" when so many civilians are killed. With the problems that Africa and other countries are having I would consider being killed a blessing. The only tragic thing about their deaths is that they were more than likely torture. So why do we treat death as the worst thing that can happen to somebody? What do you think about this? Please, I want respectful answers.

because this society teaches that death should be feared. death has been mostly taken out of our lives. when was the last time you had to kill something for your dinner or have to care for a loved one on their death bed and then have the prepare them and bury them? death is as natural as birth, its also the great unknown. death is nature's way of recycling the living

bcause nobody knows 4 sure what happens after death and people fear what they do not understand. its human nature? some may say its horrable cause of the way someone died or because they were close to that person and knowing that you will never be able to see that person or talk to that person ever again. in some cases religion plays a part as far as the whole heaven and hell belief system. all though you r right it is after all a natural part of life. many other phycological factors add in that a human just naturally feels and thinks. its alot more complicated than it seems.

Death as such holds no terror...-The fear of loosing something you really love (life) is what makes the horror...
- I agree that there are worse things than death in live.
But loosing everything I love about live sounds rather unpleasant, too...
You say death is a natural thing... yes, so is hunger...But I don't like hunger either...

-I hope you can get my point and see that it's meant to be respectful

They will never see their families again. Almost everyone who dies has someone who loves them. People who die in poverty have hopes for the future that they can never acheive if they die, no matter how impossible it seems in life. Everyone who is alive has something that they live for and some hope for a better future, because a couple of fears will pass, but death lasts forever and there is uncartainty with it.

i dont see death as horrible thing...i have never worried for a dead man/woman even he/she is my 1 of the friends or relatives etc.. because i know we are the part of the earth.. and when we die.. we will still be a part of the world... death is not such a thing as horrible but.. if u got big plans with a person that u love most and if he/she passes away, then all ur dreams be evanescences.. that can be regrettable for u..

The ego fears death. The soul knows it's infinite and does not see death as a horrible thing. More like changing clothes.

Because life is seen by most people as a good thing. Therefore death is bad. If life is seen as bad, then those who see it as bad will choose death and commit suicide.

But you're right, it's part of life, but it's the part that negates life, and since that's the part we know and like, we dislike death.

because we know nothing about it.
nobody can tell us how the world be after death, so many people think it's the end of everything. what we can do is just keeping the faith that it's not the end. something is waiting for us out there which cant be expected. we cant guess. it's a new adventure.

because death is irreversible, cannot be undone......so long as we breath we can turn those horrible things or tragedy that we face into our favor, but if death comes......then it is the end...well at least here on earth.....
