Actually, today there's an advantage to being older. Companies get a tax break for hiring employees over 40. Why? Because many years ago, there was age discrimination, so it was an incentive to hire older workers.

Today, companies are hiring lots of older works who bring years of experience to the table. The tradeoff is that they generally pay what they'd pay an entry-level 20 something just starting out.

And FYI, Wal-Mart made an agreement with AARP to hire more of its members. But the bottom-line is that being older is a real advantage in today's job market, which is a real change from several years ago.

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careebuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their
vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/emdyn
