I try to shop a little with every paycheck (about $50.00) worth .
Last year I was done by 1st week of November..It felt good to be done. Wrapped them while kids in school during the day.

I am the mother of 3 boys, ages 14, 18 & 19. Yes, I did and still do the same thing. As long as they don't change their minds about their wants... it's great. Keep it up, it'll save your sanity and not put you in a cash crunch during the holiday season and months after. I pick up all kinds of little gifts throughout the year and hold on to them for whatever surprise occasion arises. Like wicker baskets or pretty tin cans, then fill them with candies, flower seed varieties, candles, insence, what ever. Makes a neat gift whatever the occasion is. You are on the right track, so don't trip!! (SJR)

I started a month after christmas. During the rest of the winter, I get what I need for after holidays sales. Then during spring and summer. I go to yard sales. During the fall, while prices start going up. I finish off at the dollar tree, or dollar store.

No, but I envy people who do. I find that the earlier I start just makes me buy more. I love getting it done earlier, but I always seem to be scrambling for that last minute thing in Mid December.

no i havent, but it sounds like a really good idea, starting that early you should definitely have all of it done by christmas, and dont have to worry about dealing with last minute shopping which can definitely be a big headache

what if ur kids decide they want a certain something, like anew toy that or product that came out? since u were done already what do u do? i think it sucks it july is Way to early. sorry.

yup tht is the best way to go. my problem is that my place is too small to hide them all so i have to stop and wait until that time to finish.
