If our own species' milk were packaged and sold, it would be absolutely disgusting - yet, we're ok drinking the secretions of cattle. WHY???

I can't imagine the first human that looked at a cow's nipple and proceded to suck on it..............HA....weird
it must've been an old practical joke that just kept growing and growing.

I figure that a long time ago, nobody knew any better. And then throughout time, they discovered that it didn't taste too bad and contributed to better health, so they continued to drink it. Besides, it's a pretty abundant resource because the cows HAVE to be milked. Humans don't have to be milked.

I really don't understand the problem. It's not just milk that we consume. There are thousands of other dairy products or products with dairy.
I think I understand your sense of the bizarre about it, but I have no problem with the practice. I don't think I could live in a world without goat cheese or Greek yogurt.

It is a lot easier to get the cows to go along with what has to be done in order to supply all that milk.
Women tend to get rather angry when you treat them like that.LOL

Well, we also eat beef and certainly don't eat human meat. So we consume the meat and milk of other animals... this is nothing new, nor disgusting (in my opinion).
