My parents have 4 kids and they are completely out of control. They are 14,12,10 and mostly left unattended for till late in the evening. The house is a mess and is infested with roaches. Its so bad that at night they swarm the floor in the hundreds.

I don't live with my parents and I'm worried what would happen to my three siblings. I see them, I know they are depressed and I want to help them.

Parents are responsible for taking care of their children. This includes feeding them, clothing them to the best of their ability, making sure they have a safe warm place to sleep, keeping them safe from harm, teaching them right from wrong, loving and nurturing them, among many others. Loving is in my opinion the most important.

This is true by the laws of man and the laws of God.

If they do not want to do these things, or are incapable of doing them, then they should not be reproducing.

Child services must know your parents are not doing these things. Do they take care of you? If so, you don't want to screw up your own life by testifying against them. If not, then they have broken their commitment to you and you should testify.

If I knew more about the situation, my answer could have been more inclusive and better. Hope this helps.

i don't know your age or ages of your siblings. And there may be more to the story... I was involved in a cps case due to being arrested for car theft (my own car), in which they took my kids and it turned into a nightmare. If there is nothing besides that, then testify. Honesty really is the best policy, being untruthful comes back to bite you. This would not be a welfare fraud case, would it? If so, and you lie in court knowingly and are over 18, you can go to jail for perjury. No Fun!! I know... If I knew the details of this case, I could go deeper in feedback for you. Do what your heart tells you to & keep it real kiddo!! (SJR)

Tell the absolute truth without trying to take sides. These types of situations are not for YOU to judge. Let the system work. Just state the facts. Good luck, hope everything works out for the best.

I don't think you have to ever testify against your parents. You could tell them no, unless you believe that your parents deserve what they are going to get, then you should help the children by testifying.

All you can do is tell the truth. There has to be someone you can talk to about this ... someone you can trust.

I hope everything works out for you ... the truth is the only way to go!!
