Okay, you type in 'stalking help' in yahoo or any other search engine, but all you get is help for the victims. What about the stalkers that realize their obsession is not healthy and want to stop, but can't? Like the stalker that stalks someone just to see them, or see what they're up to, not to instill fear, but to be just as close as possible b/c you can't let them go? Not that I'm a stalker, but you hear about help for alcoholics, sex offenders, but not stalkers. Any resources or thoughts on this?

I knew this would happen. Alright, let me reiterate. I'm not a stalker. I'm not following anyone or anything, I was just wondering why there were no resources for stalkers, that's ALL. One more time: I'M NOT A STALKER. Thank you, that is all. lol

You should look up Obsessive Compulsive stalker and get some answers. A stalker crosses the line into this psychological disorder, because that behavior is not normal.

you might want to try co-dependant, I'm not really sure on that, but you can try it,in your google search, but I would see a psychiatrist or thearpist, they could help. by the way, I've been a victom of a stalker, and all i know is when you are being stalked by someone, even a boyfriend , they will hate you for it, and just k now that if you are doing it to just see what they are doing ,or just to be near them, or what ever the reason, once they find out your doing that, forget about ever having a chance with them again, and if they really cared about someone , they wouldn't do it, they should please see a professional, that is what they are there for, to help.

I think that person should seek the help of a professional. Not that they are mental, or anything like that, but wanting to be near someone all the time and following them around to accomplish it just isn't normal.

Check for places that deal with obsessive/compusive behaviors because at it's core thats what stalking is.

I may just be naive, but I don't think it is a sort of addiction. It is probably a mental issue that cannot be changed. I think if you want to stop, you can without help, but if you don't want to stop, nothing can help.
