what kind of snakes are the light colored part of a nightcrawler and is about the same size?

Need more info. Like where you saw the snake. That means the state and area you saw it in not something like. Under the steps or behind my house.

Was it found in the Pacific Northwest? Maybe in a rain forest? If so it might be a rubber boa.
