How can anyone think God has prepared a meaningful life for humans? Can we please get real here?
Or do you think there is a god who planned a neat life for babies born without faces, or for babies born to moms who scald them and dads who rape them?
Do you really think there is a heavenly plan involved when people are born and die in refugee camps? concentration camps? When children are swept out to sea before their parents eyes?
Stop putting on airs. We crawled up from the muck, evolved a forebrain that makes us look for patterns and meaning in everything, and gave us the delusion that there is an inherent meaning. There is no inherent meaning. The only meaning you can possibly have for your life is the meaning you fill it with.
Besides, the religious texts that apparently tell us what "god" wanted for us are contradictory, badly translated, largely misunderstood, and often just plain silly or repugnant.
Do you really want to take the meaning of your life from some "GOD" who told the jews they could slaughter all the residents of a town and take the town for their own? From some God who makes up a rule that you can't get into his heaven - no matter how much he loves you, his hands are tied - until he mates with an earthling and incites people to slaughter his offspring, so that now you can slide into heaven on his offspring's blood?
COME ON PEOPLE!!!!! Grow up. Get real. Stop believing in nonsense. Besides, you are totally missing the point of those great jewish tales.
The only meaning your life has is the meaning you give it. Get busy!

To me the meaning of life is family, I feel that life is a mission to do what the heart tells you too do, your heart is your guide to the meaning of life, i think everyone has a different mission, I truly feel that my mission in life is to guide my children and husband in the Right direction, make sure they are safe and healthy. do everything in my power to help them live a long, healthy and happy life, I feel that GOD put me here to protect them the best way i can, and to be their teacher so they can do the same in the future.I now that a lot of people say that there is no answer to that question but i think there is all you have to do is follow your heart,Iknow that sounds guy but that's Found the meaning to my life. That is what makes me feel that i am needed and God needs me to complete my mission. It's hard to explain, Another think that helped me find my meaning of life was, a question i asked my self.THAT QUESTION IS,WHAT WOULD CROSS MY MIND IF I HAD ONLY ONE MINUTE TOO LIVE...EVERY ONE MIGHT HAVE DIFFERENT ANSWER BUT MY ANSWER WAS ...MY FAMILY...THAT'S WHEN I KNOW THE MEANING TO MY LIFE.The meaning to life is different on other peoples life and none of them are wrong, I'm sure God made it that way....idk if you get what I'm saying...l8rs

The meaning of life is what is most important to you, your peace of mind and happiness. Meaning of life is what you pursue with a passion. Is it God/Jesus, your family, relationships, work, hobbies, learning, traveling, material wealth? You are free to do as you please until you die. The question is: What brings meaning to your life and makes you want to accomplish more?
You're only here for a short time so you had better find that meaning quick.
For me, it's God & Jesus because eternity is a long time investment to the short time we have here.
Thanks for the question.

Life is what you make it. Your life would not have the same meaning as mine or anyone else's. I believe the meaning of my life is to further educational needs and do what it takes for the betterment of mankind.

God, your Heavenly Father, has prepared a marvelous plan for your happiness. When you realize that God has a plan for you, it is easier to understand why you are on this earth. God wants all of His children to progress and become more like Him. This time on Earth provides opportunities for you to grow and progress. Coming here allows you to:
* Receive a physical body.
* Exercise agency and learn to choose between good and evil.
* Learn and gain experience that will help you become more like your Heavenly Father.
By following our Heavenly Father’s plan, you—like all of His children—can someday return to live with Him and with your loved ones. You can have greater peace in this life and eternal joy in the life to come.

To love the Lord with all your heart, all your mind, all your strength, and all your soul. Then love your neighbor as yourself. If you want to include happiness in your quest for the meaning of life, then serve others.
