Which city do you prefer? Not prefer? Why?

I prefer:
-Nashville: Culture, people, history, downtown, natural beauty around city
-Memphis: Jazz and blues bars and their histories, has that old "down South" feel like in Mississippi and Alabama, friendly
-Cincinnati: beautiful parks, great visual art, outstanding performing arts, lovely hills as the city is nestled in Ohio valley

Dislike:
-Columbus, Ohio: Flat, boring, so what if Ohio State is there?
-Lexington, KY: hate the traffic system, nothing more than an overgrown college town
-Louisville: Kentucky is known for being "that friendly." One visit, maybe two at the most, to this city will change your mind. And I'm a pretty well traveled guy, BTW. It does have beautiful parks, though.

Other cities:

Never been to Cleveland or Chicago, so I can't make any judgments on those.

Driven through St. Louis and Atlanta. I really liked ATL's skyline. People who live there really like those cities, but I've gotten mixed reactions from those that don't. I guess I'd have to visit more and find out for myself.

I've been to Indianapolis twice. Nice downtown area, but I don't know a great deal about the city otherwise.

I perfer:
-Cincinnati for its great food, nice parks, the Reds and Bengals, museums, Kings Island, etc.
-Nashville and Memphis - they have a great culture and music, friendly people, downtown areas are fun
-Chicago is fun for a bigger city feel. It is good for shopping and street walking downtown.

I dislike:
-Atlanta - it is way too crowded. The highways are huge and congested. It takes forever to get where you are going. My uncle lives down there and he says it takes hime over 1 hour to get to work, even though it's only like 15 miles away. Too many mosquitos.
-Columbus, Lexington, Louisville - are all boring cities. I have went to each a few times, but just ended up passing by. There was not too much to do and they don't have too many special attractions.
-Indy - I guess it's okay. The airport is cheaper to fly out of then most others in the area. Being a Bengals fan - I am obligated to hate their team though.

I'd prefer Cincinnati or St. Louis. Crazy weather here in Lexington. Tornados in Tennessee...

I live in Louisville, and people here are by far the friendliest people I have been around, except Idaho. Those people are so friendly, they are in a league of their own.

I have no problems with any of the cities on your list as I have been to most, and they all have their great selling points. If you want to be part of something growing, Louisville is the place to be. The downtown revitalization is booming with the waterfront development, condo construction, 4th Street Live, etc.

The cost of living is great too!

Memphis is very cool!

Cincy is pretty neat as well, especially with the Museum (old train station - art deco) Lots of history.

Louisville KY is also a town with lots of river history

Haven't been to the others

I'd say Nashville and Memphis becuse of their incredible musical history, Columbus because of history in general, Indy for the car racing history, and Cleveland for the food :)

Your preferences for Cincinnati are dead on, but you missed the most critical. The unforgettable and wonderful Cincinnati Chili. Give me a 4 way or a Coney with cheese, chili, onions and mustard!!
