Tell her to try witch hazel or an astringent. That should help shrink her pores and will help if she has blackheads too.

Some dermatological therapies, such as Intense Pulse Light Therapy, can shrink pores. It can be a bit pricey, though.

A short term solution could be use of a "foundation primer", like MAC's Prep + Prime or Smashbox's Photo Finish. Both of those fill in pores and make them less noticeable, without soaking in and causing blocked pores. You can wear primers alone or with makeup.

Start with one of those Biore nose strips to remove all the black heads...then wash consistently with a pore reducing soap..there are numerous ones on the market, Oil of Olay [brand] for example......if you consistently wash your face in the morning and at night before bed then you have a lot less likelihood of getting clogged pores, which makes them bigger and noticeable.

Cleanse the face and use and astringent for large pores.
It does help. She is just a large pored person.

There is a new product kind of like Mary Kay. It is called Arbone. The RE9 line will help. Many of my friends and I swear by this stuff.

Heredity plays a big role in that, I read about it and if your mother is plagued with that then you most likely will be too..but sure there are cleansers and things to reduce the SIZE of them..but never totally eliminate them.

I've got big pores too -- any foundation makeup will help reduce the appearance.
