I was going to get a Travel Home carrier for my hamster and thought that I should go to mediun so my hamster has more room. How big (in diameter) should syrain hamster bowls be so it is not small or too big?

The smaller the better, if your hamster has too much room and too much vision he will be more frightened. Use some of the bedding form his cage so he at least has something familiar with him.

When I was about 11 I took my hamster with me while my parents and I travelled by car for a all day road trip to see my grandmother. I just used put my hamster's regular cage with me and placed him on the floor of the backseat of the car. He was fine and lived up to the age of four years of age after escaping a half a dozen times from his cage too.

One of the small sized critter keepers would be fine. However you dont want to bring your hamster on road trips unless absolutely necessary because it is very stressful for them. If you do have to use paper to wrap the outsides of the cage if it is clear so that they dont get stressed by everything going on around them.

it dont gotta b as big as a 10 gallon fish tank when i had a hamster i took it in its reg. cage it was fine it lived a long time until it got out of its cage once and my dog killed it
