Don't strain your voice more than you have to. Try singing 10 minutes a day and then going longer. Singing is just like exercise you need to do it for just a few minutes until your body or in this case your vocal cords can expand.

You need to practice singing from your diaphragm. It 's the "beginning -of - a -yawn" breath, that opens your throat. Hold your chin down, and at the same time, relax your jaw. practice.

lay flat on your back, take a heavy book and put in over your diaphragm and sing, talk ,breathe,, do this as an exersise daily always remember to project from that place, NOT from your throat, concentrate on pitch,, and fun and you'll be fine

alot
and try to hold your notes
i used to do this i wuld hold my note for how ever long till i couldnt do it then kept trying to make it longer
and scales are good too
