Do everything you are asked, and volunteer nothing unless your lawyer is present.

Don't make any sudden moves, and do *exactly* what they tell you! Otherwise, you could wind up being shot dead! When the police arrest someone, they always appear to enjoy it. Perhaps it is a feeling of "I'm more important than you!" but they usually refer to the person being arrested as a "punk" (or worse). They act like bullies, and they know you are powerless. If you resist, it will instantly make things worse. So do what they ask, say "Yes, sir, no sir, and I'd like to speak with a lawyer now, sir", then say NOTHING ELSE! Once you have been arrested, say as little as possible unless it is necessary. One more warning: Anything you say BEFORE being arrested may be used against you in court. This is called a spontanious confession. Example: When you get stopped for speeding, the first thing a cop will ask you is "Do you know how fast you were going?" If you say "I have no idea", you are guilty. The motor vehicle code says you always must know and control the speed of your car. But if you admit to even going 1 mile over the speed limit (Or "I was just keeping up with traffic!") then you are guilty, and due to a spontanious confession, he will write you up a very expensive ticket.

Behave calmly and submissively. Not all police officers are 'law abiding' themselves. So don't do anything additionally that will give them ammunition to make the situation worse. Finally, exercise your rights and don't speak other than to acknowledge that you've been Mirandized.

Don't try to run. It'll just prove you're guilty. And be honest with the police. If they have to dig around to get the truth, they will be harder on you than if you admitted that you did something wrong. You would still end up being punished but why drag it out?

Just cooperate with the police officer. Be polite and ask the reason why they arrested you.

Clam and key advice when you go driving and you think that's going to happen. Dress nice, cops will give you a little more respect. I saved 200$ off a ticket for speeding, expire license plate and no registrations forms.

Don't be truthful! That's really bad advice.

Just shut up and don't say a word.

Call a defense lawyer at the first chance you can.

Oh yeah, take off all your clothes and talk jibberish. It will be easier for you to plead insanity.

Just relax no sudden moves if you give them a hard time its only going to make it harder on your self if you show you are a treat you might end up doing more time show them respect and you should get respect back.

Answer is as politely with no resistance as you can. Wouldnt you want to tell your side of the story when the officers are calm?

Whatever you do...don't be a smart *ss. As was mentioned, be polite, cooperate within reason, and if the cop is being a jerk just keep your cool and report him later.
