Try to be interested in other people. If you found yourself alone, try to approach people. Be friendly and be sure that your smile is always ready. Try to ask questions about the person. But not too personal. If you're still afraid, stick in your mind that better have friends than living alone. Besides, they're not going to eat you! :) Practice these simple steps and you'll see, in time, you'll get used on people and you'll realize that you can start a conversation even in total strangers! Just be nice to everyone, don't complain and smile. People will gravitate to you. The most annoying people are those that always have to have center stage, and you are obviously not like that. If you meet someone you'd like to be friends with just talk to them about a topic you know interests them, such as sports, music, movies. Good luck.

just be friendly. that is all it really takes to have friends. like ask somebody the thing they like to do and maybe you will have something in common. Don't be shy. i am a shy too and just being freindly helped me get alot of friends. Now what are you waiting for... just go for it!

Just be yourself first of all cause what is it if they become friends with differnet person than who you really are. And be kind but not taking advantage kind and talk to them dont be afraid to talk first thats how the best friendships form.

yea me 2 i just moved across the country and im haveing some problems makeing new friends but as long as u have one that u hang out with alot thats all that matter

you have to learn how to open up. maybe not to a group of ppl, but one person. say hi, smile and be yourself. and let it flow from there. ask simple questons and dont be scared. be yourself.
