Thanks for all your answers. Very interesting! Barring unforeseen events, I think I may have lived half of my life. (I am 52) I have experienced much, but there's more to go. IN the end, I will be satisfied.

Sometimes there isn't enough time for people to do all the things they want to do. People who say life is too short quite simply lack ambition. Or dreams.

people say life is too short because when you have grown and are old you will look back and see that you put things off to the last minute and never got to them, that you never really lived all that you did was work and miss out on what is important in life. People may even say that they never got to do what they always dream of doing.

For me it mean to live in the here and the now, that do not try and think to far up ahead in life for that day may never come. Life is to short to worry about the little things, one day you are a child the next you are an adult your children will grow before you can see it happen. What matter is what you do in this life at this moment not what you will do. Don't wast your life away in petty things.

If you think from a daily point of view... it's long. If you think from different annual events, then it starts to get shorter...

We have 365 days in a year, which seems like a lot of days to get through. But, Christmas is only once a year. I'm 36 now, so if I say live to be 80, then I've only got 44 more Christmas to go. My daughters are 3 and 1, so I've only got about 15 more Christmas with them until they're off to college and move out...

Hope this make sense...

There are so many things in life to experience that the average life span just is not enough, especially after you take into consideration the amount of time spent sleeping and working.

I think it's due to the fact that when most people figure out what really matters in this life they have wasted so much of it there isn't much time left.

"Life is too short," is a way of saying that it seems to go by very very fast. When one is young it doesn't seem that way. But as you get older, Years seem almost as short as weeks. And decades seem almost as short as years. Be active and enjoy your youth. You're too young to be bored with life already. And a little too impatient, I believe, too really enjoy life as it comes to you.

I've been diagnosed with a medical condition and I try to live each day as if it would be my last day. Maybe if you're lucky enough to avoid medical problems it may be harder for you to see things from my viewpoint.

It is the longest thing you'll do, but I wish it were longer. I guess I can't be satisfied with anything, can I?

If you look at it from God's point of view life is very short. He created us to live forever. Think about that FOREVER.
