If Elvis is the king of rock'n'roll then Freddie Mercury is the Queen of rock'n' roll. Actually, we must disinguish between rock bands and 'pop' bands. Personally, I think that the front-runners ought to be the mighty Led Zeppelin, Cream, or Pink Floyd. Can you dig it?

The Beatles, Rolling Stones, or The Who.
I love them all so I can't choose.
The Beatles had more influence over the music of today but The Who had "Tommy" and The Rolling Stones are still touring.
It's a tough call.
