I babysit every week for the same person. The little boy I babysit is 19 months old. What can I do with him that he might like?

Ohhhh that's a fun age. ☺
Turn on some music and dance with him.
Read lots of books.
Play hide and go seek (but make it easy for him).
If it's ok with the parents, take him to a park to swing and go down the slides.
Play ball.
Color with him.
Sing with him (esp. ABC's)
Build with blocks and mega-blocks.
Put on a puppet show.
Go outside and blow bubbles.
Help with puzzles (with the large pieces). The wooden puzzles are also great!
Play the memory game or other matching games.
Finger paint/play dough (just be sure to watch him so he doesn't try to eat it).
Get on the floor with him and play cars or firetrucks with him.
Take him outside and let him explore the yard.

Whatever you do, don't sit him in front of the TV. Play with him, laugh with him and be silly! He'll love you for all the fun times! ☺

I would encourage alot of sensory play...like water, sand, dry oatmeal and uncooked rice. Give him cups, spoons, bowls, or plates to pour in. While playing talk to him about how the diff things feel. Look for things around your home to entertain him...you would be suprised how much toddlers love toilet paper rolls or empty 2 liter bottles set up as bowling pins. Sing simple songs with him and try to read alteast 20 mins a day. Good luck and enjoy him, remember its a privilege to provide care for other ppls children!

Make a kid kit kie inthe Babysitters Club books. Get some cheap little age appropriate toys. Figure out some games or activities that are theme related and only do things that relate to that that day.
