It should be okay for people to listen to what they like, despite the approval they recieve or do not. I listen to weird stuff - Sonic Youth, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Can - all of the time without caring what others think of me. If you like Megadeth, then crank up your "Symphony of Destruction" and annoy the neighbours. They probably listen to crap anyway.
