Really? Most people say black musoc os rap, hip-hop and r & B but is there really such thing? Cos if it were then that would include Punk , Techno, Death Metal, Goth and other genre's cos (some,) black people play that kind of music too. It's liek saying b;ack people can only listen to one kind of music. What does everyone else think?

No, not really. Rap/Hip Hop and R&B are the genres of music that most Black people gravitate towards, but not solely because it's "Black music," or because the artists in these genres are mostly Black as most people would assume. It's mostly about personal preference, as well as what we can relate to and what we grew up listening to.

yeah there is a such thimg as black music . U can not listin to underground music and not understand the history of it all . pholisphy is all thes rapper explain. the greatest was tupc

When I've heard the words "black music," it generally means music that black people either invented or primarily dominated (soul, gospel, R&B, jazz).

Of course, I agree with the person directly above me. Music really should have no racial label.
