Actually, I make an effort to be politically INcorrect. This political correctness has gotten so out of hand that its ridiculous. People can't say anything for fear of offending someone. Get over it!
For centuries we had "mankind" and now its "humankind" which really sounds stupid. Congressmen are now members of Congress. Garbage collectors are sanitation engineers. Janitors are maintainance engineers. The list is endless and its stupid - and saying that is probably politically incorrect - its probably something like "not overly intelligent" or God knows what.

I make an effort not to hurt or offend anyone. Sometimes I get mad and open my big mouth when I shouldn't, but mostly I try, so if the politically correct words are supposed to be the least offensive, I use them, exept when it just sounds silly. I wonder for example if people who can't see would really rather be called "visually challenged" then "blind". I guess it would depend who I'm talking to.

It matters to some and if you are worried about respecting others then you should try to be politically respectful. I don't usually make an effort to be PC because I am not exposed to those situations where it matters.

I think it depends on the situation. If I'm with friends who are aware of my silly tendencies, I make less of an effort to be p.c. but if I am around people who don't know me well, I will start out more p.c. until I determine that the risk of offending is minimal. Though it is necessary to take the risk sometimes to make new friends...

No. I think we communicated very well before "politically correct" came into being. I'm not sure why or who first came up with the idea. I "researched" it and supposedly, it's to use phrases/words that don't offend people. I don't get it.

Only when I have to. ;)
If the man who signs my checks tells me not to use street slang around his pompous rich clients, then who am I to disobey and drink guano juice for breakfast the next morning.
