Honestly, when you get a divorce, it has nothing to do with the kids. So, why do women play headgames to get the kids to live with them so that they can get childcare and child support. I dont think its fair to the kids. You know, eventually the kids will figure out the truth.

Ive seen a lot of good answers. But first let me explain something. Originally, we had joint custody. Then my ex talked my daughter into changing her mind about joint custody. How do I know? Both of my kids told me they were prompted to lie to the judge when they talked to her. Also, I'm not abusive. and lastly, my son has decided that he wants to live with me full time because he is tires of all the put downs at his moms house.

If the woman wants the children for the sole purpose of money, that is completly wrong. I think also in a lot of cases the woman wants the kids to hurt the father. In situations like this everyone needs to grow up and think about the children and do what's in their best interest.

That was so dumb. Children are part of the divorce. A stable environment and making sure the children are taken care of monetarily and have their needs met is very important. It costs money to raise kids and it's not like the child support payments are high enough to profit off of. How many divorced mothers do you know that got rich off of child support money? It's not a for profit business. She has to provide food, clothing, and shelter for the children not to mention actually raising the kids. Besides, depending on the custody agreement, the father might still have to pay child support. If I were divorcing a guy with an attitude like yours--I'd file for sole custody too.

CUZ THEY ARE EVIL..just kidding..lol..I've been in this situation before..The best I can explain this is A DIVORCE is not friendly..My ex wife wanted all the money she could get from me.. Alimony and child support is the norm for a lot of men..I remember asking my lawyer about this situation..He commented that the wife usually stays at home and takes care of the kids.And the judge sees it that way too.That's why women get custody.Unless you were the one staying at home and taking care of the kids?? Whatever you do .Please get an attorney to represent you in court . It will save some money..
I ,too, was paying child support. But now I have custody of my kids..I was able to prove my ex wife was unfit..

It doesn't matter who gets the kids, the other party will have to pay!
Kids are not property to be debated over but 90% of the care given to the children is maternal. The chances for the father to get custody is as fair as the mother, Why don't they request full custody? They simply don't have time, so monetary judgments are made in the best interest of the kids and rightfully so.
The most hurtful part of our divorce proceedings were the custody and visitation issues. I hated it!!!!! Kids should not be torn into by their parents and their inability to keep their commitment. They are the most preciou gifts from God and I aim to make my mark in legislature concerning my experiences. It's totally unfair to the innocent ones.

Not all women are this way. If the husband is abusive she may not want the kids going to his house so therefore seeks custody. My ex has visitation rights but my kids figured out on their own that he is worthless. They never spend anytime with him because he never has time for them. He never attends any of their functions and that makes them mad.

There is a certain thing women have for $$$. Do men go looking for rich women to take their money ?? In women it is called a gold digger.
Or maybe she has the attitude of "paybacks are a *****"

you might be right it happened to me. My ex drawed four hundread a kid for two kids a month. Which was to much for her cause it took her down. She used the money to buy drugs and lost the kids. Now our kids are with me and they are happy.
