Im tried networking my desktop to laptop and now i keep?

getting a dial up connection with the dsl..what have I done wrong...what is firmware?

try going to internet explorer tools, internet options, conections, and make sure never dial is checked, and in lan probperties, make sure autodiscovery is checked

I had a different problem when I set up my wireless network so I called Linksys. The lady who helped me was very helpful and stayed on the line until my problem was resolved. Try calling the manufacturer of yours.
