To have music freely distributed via internet would deprive the artist of (in most cases) rightly deserved money. To not pay for music that people work hard to create would be like not paying at a restaurant for the food the a chef worked very hard to prepare. And, to continue with that metaphor, in a busy restaurant a chef skate by with food that's not created with the utmost concern and care, but for a musician to create a song that's good enough for you to want to steal it is extremely hard to do.

NO. Its extremely hard for bands nowadays to make a living and if people have access to the music for free, bands wont sell records. The record companies already hog most of the bands money that they receive.

I think so. I have put so much of my money into the music industry that it seems fair, I could get a little something extra for it.

it would be nice, but i think people would eventually stop making good music for us to listen to, because if it was free how would they be making money to keep up the music business.
