When are people going to learn that there is so much more music out there then what is played on the radio? 90% of the crap that is filtered through the radio is over-played, absolutley horrible ''music'' (notice the quotes). When are people going to find out that the radio is mainly an advertisement for the record companies to get you to buy their crappy albums? Someone please tell me WHY!?!??!?!??!

u commented my question on starting a band, and i think ur a jackwhole.u don't know what good music is.just cuz i like screamo, and punk music doesn't mean u have to bash me 4 liking it.u probably listen to elevator music.u really need to get a life and listen to some good music.just cuz i wanna start a screamo and pop/punk band and asked if any body lived near me and if they can sing and play instruments doesn't give you the right to jude the music ppl listen to and y they listen to it.also it takes alot of talent to do screamo....u probably don't know u can damage ur voice by doing that, and some people are willing to take that risk ,you know the kind of people who realized you only live once so go ahead and give what you got a try to show the world you got it kind of thing.

I agree that most everything out there today isn't all that great. If people like it, yea, let them, but they need to check out other stuff. There's some awesome rock out there from the 60s even on into the 90s, that people disregard cuz it's not on MTV.

excellent question. my guess is that people don't know any better and will buy whatever shitty music the most powerful A&R guys can get on the radio/MTV. being teenager/video friendly is the first priority, followed by the hook.

support live, original music whenever possible.

Because the average person has no musical talent no musical ear and is basically musicless. Just give them something with a simple beat and tell them its good, they;ll like it.

I wish I knew. If you discover the answer, please clue me in too! Also, in the off-chance the radio does discover a fairly good song, it is overplayed and I am sick of it within a week...
I only listen to AM or CD's now.
