Lets see if any of this story makes sense. No 1 take Africa as a ex sample .where ever you find a dictator you find some form of poverty its not only the top man filling his bank account with the wealth of the country theres his whole family@ Generals are being paid off as well. all so do not educate the poor or in time you will lose .2 All so you will fined many different tribes that will not co. operate with each other. So you find one tribe running the country .If Bono god bless him wants to stop poverty .move the people to a fertile part of the country they do it with animals why not humans.

You should read "Guns, Germs, and Steel" It is an excellent book. You can also watch a three-part documentary based upon the book that was very comprehensive and well made.
The basic answer to your question is rooted in the various geographical locations where civilizations were first establsihed around 10,000 years ago. Those societies which were located in the Northern Hemisphere, in the mid-latitude regions, were the most succesful, especially areas with productive native ceral grasses (wheat, barley, rice) and easy access to productive mammals suitable for domestication. These factors helped early civilations in these areas to produce food for those who did not directly hunt or gather resources. These people, freed from the intensity of food production were allowed to work on progressing technology, arts, and societal structures that helped advance the entire society. Technology led to colonization of new lands. The ancestors of Europeans (Americans) came form the Middle East and then migrated along similar latitudes into Europe and Asia. What you see today is the logical progression of these historical trends. Read teh book for more information.

It is not who is the cause of poverty. It is what is the cause of poverty. The cause of poverty could be coined into one simple phrase, lack of knowledge and good judgment. Is it not remarkable in areas where poverty is king there is never a shortage of children, lots of children. My God, why on earth , would anyone who is all but starving want to have a child who will be subject to the same? But, they do and they do and they do.So I would say.it is not being able to control themselves.
Even so, there is a solution to this problem. It is called Birth Control. There is no reason or excuse not to practice birth control.

We're all responsible for poverty! People that have money should try to help those less fortunate. If everyone stopped gave up making unnecessary car trips and outings for a week we could give millions with that extra money; to those that have little or nothing.

poverty where? In Africa? White folks from European countries that took everything worthy of taking, and left poor people with nothing.
In America? Only laziness or sickness could make you poor in USA.
In some European countries? Lack of opportunities.
In India and Mexico? Not enough birth control...

lack of an education and goal in life in life is an almost certain path towards poverty, the feeling that money or whatever assistance is due towards oneself further enslaves you towards whatever assistance you get. having sex out of wedlock and then brinng children into poverty only exhastberates the problem. the cycle then repeats because as indivuduals they do not want to take accountability for our action which has led them to where they are now.

I'm posting an answer to your rhetorical question simply because I love doing what I shouldn't.....LOL.
Life breeds poverty. If we went back to growing our own food, we could trade the excess with the neighbors who milk the cows so we'd have something to drink with supper. Then no one would go hungry.....
