When their economy is stabalized, military and police are adequate, government come together on a partisan basis to lead the country, and insurgents and terrorists are rooted out of the country. Thus, my answer is: I hope it ends soon, but the likely outcome is a very long time.
P.S. No politician, which ever party they are from, can end the Iraq War quickly, whether the answer is pull out or stay the course.

When the country becomes stable and we shut the politians up and let our military do its job. Leaving Iraq now, or brining more troops home won't end the war, just erase everything we did.

it will end when the iraq goverment get there forces up and running and when they start protecting the family of thouse who servies in the iraq military.

Once the U.S. sends 500,000 troops over there (minimum). We have been woefully understrength since this whole thing began and now there is talk about pulling out! Ridiculous!

seems like never...we are setting up to stay for a looong time (even building a spa for a base) so it will be more like an indefinite occupation...we still have troops on bases all over the world...that's just how it goes
