*sigh* I applaud Bono in trying to do good in the world, but I don't feel he totally understands how complicated things are and can get in Africa.
Throwing money at a problem does not solve it.
Drawing attention does nothing if the underlying problems are not addressed and corrected.
Constant viligance must be applied or we find ourselves right back where we started.

I think, he's being very effective in spreading his message and making normal people more aware of situations which you'd never know otherwise and probably wont pay more attention to. I think, it's working. The next time someone sees a homeless person they'll be more receptive to them.
Go BONO !

I think it is what more of us should try to do in america were all so worried about how we look or how much money we can get There are some real problems in Africa and other parts of the world. Any kind of way to just try to help is good.

I think its ridiculus!! I'm so sick and tired of entertainers thinking that just because they can sing or play an instrument, they have any idea of what world politics are all about.
I dont understand how if Africa is the mother of civilazation...how come its so uncivilized?
PS to NewYorker....How many Homeless people do you have living with you?

Personally, I'm tired of hearing the celebs attempting to save the world, when we have more than enough poverty and problems that need attention right here.
If they wish to accomplish such great things, then put it to use right here where it belongs. OR in their own country.

I think it's totally wonderful! Too many celebrities are only out in the media to hype "their" own careers and ways of becoming richer or more popular (ie: Paris Hilton et al)

I think it's a good way to reach alot of people, and to get them thinking. I just hope he doesn't get answers from people who don't take his question seriously.
