Because most people are hung up on celebrities. If you notice, questions from someone with a name, gets tons of answers.
I believe it's nothing more than advertising for Yahoo....getting the permission to use their names.

He may have given permission to ask a question on his behalf. And peopls answer because they have to feel they are in tune with a celeb. He is like most other celebs it 's all about getting more attention more press coverage etc. How much of his millions has he given away to help and and I don't mean the interest from his fortune or the money given to his charitable foundations.Kind of like Salma Hyak going to alaska or Canda to put her signature on a paper to protest global warming an flying there and back in a private jet. Has Bono built a school or irrigation equipment for anyone?

I think it is him because it is illegal to impersonate another person - even on the Internet. I don't think Yahoo would take on the risk by trying to use his name without his permission.
I also think someone (maybe more than one) will collect the info, summarize it, and then give it to Bono.
