Do you really need to ask that question? The gov't allows gambling so they can gain money from taxes, gambling related fines, and etc. And they probably have some kind of agreement with the casinos who do rig ..on the DL, of course.

Our U.S. Government is making HUGE tax profits from casinos--and many of our political empowered hold STOCKS in these casino venues; be such invested in real estate sales or outright purchased casino business shares (likely by a "middleman").
That's pretty much your answer right there.
Casino slots and games haven't been so much "rigged" as they are legally "curved", evidently in their favor. They spend millions of $$$ to M.I.T. like mathematicians to see that task is done.
And it's a safe bet (no pun intended) that casinos host not only the "high rollers" (and the occaisional stupid schmuck forefiting his home mortgage), but they welcome a politician's target lobbyist(s) and are home to those political "education conferences" (junkets) as well.
In short: casino proits beget political favors (having good ol' boy watchdogs 'look the other way'). For the casino and their disguised partners (the politicans themselves), it's a win/win deal--espicially if you go in and come out a loser.
After all : casinos don't profit on winners.

sWell gambling taxes go to school education, which as a college student I say go ahead and roll them dice. As for the "games being rigged" some people are lucky and so are not, if you keep losing it your own fault for not stopping.

only casino i ever saw was on an Indian reservation and the government doesn't have much say there. it does help the Indians financially. people don't have to go to them if they don't want to.
