i'm 20 years old but look really young for my age, how can i make myself look more mature?

people are always shocked when i tell them my age. i know this will be a good thing later in life, but it sucks for now. i look like i'm 15-17 years old. any tips?

I am 37 male and everyone guesses me at 24-27 due to looks.

The best trick is as simple as a new hair style and a change of clothes. How you hold yourself, stand, talk, act, talk with hands, etc can play a factor into it all as well.

i am DEFINATELY in your situation too. I'm 20, have a small body and look very much like a 13 year old (exag a bit)! At least you're a girl, you know, im a guy and its pretty hard with the gals of course they always go for the overgrown geckos who look like they're 30 when they're 18. You can try dressing up sans the-preppy-look. Dont wear pastels. wear darker colours or just white. Be a little old fashion so you dont look "youngster" and cut down on cheeriness. But all these are not good for your general health and hapiness if you're just doing it for the sake of looking a little old. I found that after a while you kinda get the hang out of it. Dont think of the future too much, its a little depressing especially if you think it's taking forever to reach there. I'll just be as young as i look, maybe it will be disadvantageous for me with regards to the hot chicks aound our age who like like they're 20+ but who cares really, I dont. Besides, there are always girls like you too =)

I'm 17 n i look like I'm 15, so what i do is dress mature, and i wear make up not that much, but enough to look my age. In my opinion it's no problem by looking young.

You could wear make-up but it is not good for your skin. Think about this do you want to look younger and feel better, or when you get older look older and not feel as good. I mean if it is really important for you to look older then go ahead, I am just saying think about the long run because once you do it its no turning back and hopefully no regrets. I am 41 and look 25, but I ack older, and people know that, even though they still think that I am younger and I love myself and I am happy, and I feel young; and proud that I look younger. To sum this up why don't you just do what makes you happy, and you will then have your answer that's what I do. Good Luck.

clothes have a lot to do with how u look. Im not saying go off and be a hoe and where revealing clothes but up your game. think of clothing that you never thought u could where because of your age and wear the,. now if its revealing clothing thats your descion but for the most part if you see a style that you like that would up your game then wear those clothes.

I'm 24, and I still get asked if I'm a senior in high school.

I learned to except the fact that I have a young looking appearance. Hopefully, it will come in handy when I'm 60. :)

Smoke a lot of tobacco, squint your eyes and grimace as if in pain, grow a little facial hair, stay in the sun too much, overindulge in all eating and drinking, put on 80 pounds, have as many kids as you can, take the burdens of the world into your heart, work as many hours/jobs as you can, you get the idea?

well act older age ur make-up and for clothes don't go to childish only thing to do. by doing this people think i am older, than my age by like 3 yrs, so i dont care because when ur my age either way ur still young!

I am so serious here. I was 16 - bought alcohol and my brother 8 years older got carded for cooking wine! Now I am in my 40s - got carded and almost jumped the counter to hug the person. It's all good - don't worry about it.

Act your AGE. Use your(Common sense) Don't dress like a teen age person if you are 20.
